Does Toxaprevent bind to mycotoxins/mold?

MANC® particles have been shown to bind to mycotoxins released from mold and fungus. This is due to their silica content. 

Mold and fungal infections use mycotoxins in order to spread and thrive. Not only do MANC® particles bind to mycotoxins in order to reduce their ability to spread, but they also restore the integrity of the gut barrier (i.e. leaky gut) by binding to histamine and reducing inflammation in the intestinal lining. This allows the epithelial tight junctions to repair themselves. The combined effect is that MANC® particles reduce the ability of mold and fungal infections to spread, while changing the environment in the intestinal tract to make it unfavourable for mold and fungal infections to thrive. This makes it easier to tackle mold and fungal infections.

Why are MANC® particles classified as a medical device?

MANC® particles do not have a physiological, pharmacological or immunological effect on the body. They are inert and work by using a physical mechanism (ion exchange) to safely bind toxic substances whist travelling through the digestive tract and are eventually passed out of the body through natural bowel movements. As such, MANC® particles do not interfere with the body’s physiological processes, nor is it absorbed by the body, and this is the main reason as to why it has been successfully registered as a medical device.

Are other zeolites as safe and as effective as MANC® particles?

No. Other zeolite products are not as safe or as effective as MANC® particles are for the following reasons:

  • MANC® particles are the cleanest form of zeolite, meaning it will not poison your body with anything it has already absorbed. MANC® particles are deeply cleansed of any toxins they may have absorbed before being mined from the ground.
  • MANC® particles are derived from clinoptilolite zeolite, the most effective form of zeolite for its ability to strongly bind with various toxic substances
  • MANC® particles stay in the gut and are not absorbed through the intestinal barrier into the body, meaning the body doesn’t have to metabolise MANC® particles through the liver and kidneys. Instead, MANC® particles are flushed from the body via natural bowel movements, taking the toxic substances they have bound to along with them
  • MANC® particles are vacuum sealed in their packaging so they don’t absorb any toxins in the air before you consume them
  • MANC® particles are classified as medical devices, meaning they don’t interfere with the body’s processes and the scientific evidence that supports its use has been evaluated by an independent body (TUV Rheinland)
  • MANC® particles have been thoroughly tested and come in preparations which ensure they aren’t broken down in stomach acid and can’t release aluminium into the body, unlike other zeolite product (see It is known that clinoptilolite zeolite breaks down in acid and releases aluminium.   • MANC® particles only take out toxic substances and leave essential minerals and micronutrients untouched in the body
  • Froximun AG, the manufacturers of MANC® particles, are obliged to have a dedicated responsible person as part of their quality control system who, in the unlikely case that someone has an adverse reaction to MANC® particles, can be contacted to record the adverse event and seek further advice from their expert medical service.

What exactly are MANC® particles (the active ingredient in all Toxaprevent products)?

MANC® particles are derived from correctly processing clinoptilolite zeolite to ensure they are safe enough eliminate heavy metals, histamine and ammonium from the body safely. In order for clinoptilolite zeolite to be safe for human consumption it must cleansed of any and all toxins it has already absorbed (from the ground it was taken from) and it must stay only in the digestive tract. MANC® particles are produced once the clinoptilolite zeolite has been cleansed and the size of the particles are between 6 – 10 microns – this is how MANC® particles are produced.

How does Toxaprevent work?

The active ingredient in Toxaprevent is called MANC® (Modified and Activated Natural Clinoptilolite). MANC® particles are negatively charged and work like magnetic ‘sponge’. It emits a negative charge that allows it to naturally absorbs the toxic substances histamine, ammonium and heavy metals (lead and mercury), as well as other bio-genic amines. These toxins can be absorbed inside the ‘cage-like’ structure of MANC® and adsorbed on the surface of the MANC® particle.

MANC® particles are optimised in size and only particles between 6 and 10 microns are selected for Toxaprevent (one micron is one thousandth of a millimetre). At this size, MANC® particles are too large to be absorbed through the intestinal barrier into the bloodstream, and are too small to bind to micronutrients. The result is that MANC® particles stay within the digestive tract only, where they selectively bind to only toxic substances. MANC® particles and the toxic substances they have bound are then removed from the digestive tract via natural bowel movements. This means your body doesn’t have to break down and process MANC® particles or any toxins the MANC® particles have bound to.

The Toxaprevent SKIN range also uses MANC® particles as the active ingredient. MANC® particles are not absorbed through the skin and do not enter the body due to the size of MANC® particles. MANC® particles bind toxins on the skin and prevent them from entering the body through the skin. In particular, histamine can be bound and eliminated from skin, helping to prevent and reduce inflamed skin.
